Clementine Pumpkins and Halloween Recipe Roundup

When you first ditch junk food—refined and manufactured foods designed to be hyperpalatable, overiding your satiety signals to stimulate overeating, and full of unhealthy ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, food dyes, flavor enhancers and preservatives—it’s common to feel like you’re missing out during those food-centered holidays that feature seasonal and favorite childhood treats.  While your palate can adapt to dietary changes quite quickly (anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks), finding festive recipes that also meet the nutritious and healthy food criteria can take a little trial and error.

That’s why I’m sharing my collection of delicious spooky recipes to celebrate an AIP and allergy-free Halloween!

Every single one of these Halloween treat recipes are gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, refined sugar free, nut-free, peanut-free, egg-free and free of the top 10 allergens!  They’re perfect for a classroom with multiple allergies, or if you’re in search for Paleo or AIP Halloween treats and edible crafts to make with the kids!

Clementine Pumpkins



Yield 12 “pumpkins”


  • 12 clementines
  • 1 celery stalk


  1. Peel clementines, removing the pith from the center of the clementine as much as possible.
  2. Slice the celery stalk into stem-sized pieces and place them in the top of the clementine.
