Bacon cheeseburger soup

I love soup. . Although nothing beats a hot bowl of soup on a cold winters day, I will enjoy it just as much on a hot summers day (in air conditioning of course haha) I normally create soups in my crock pot however, you can just as easily cause them into a pot on the stove. I wanted a crispy sweet soup and this bacon cheeseburger soup did not disappoint, I used ground chicken to maintain points low but you might swap out for ground beef should you don’t mind spending some extra points. This is most likely among the creamiest sauces I’ve created and I was immediately in love with it. .  Hash brown potatoes work good inside and keep it simple, here is really a hyperlink to my product reviews so that you may observe the brand I purchase and compare nourishment. Add beans, hash browns, carrots, onions, chicken broth, salt & pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and basil to the crock pot, stir well and cook on high for 3 months, or low 6 hours.

  • Approximately 15 minutes before the cooking time is up you are able to make your roux that you will add to the soup you may even cook your bacon at this time if you haven’t already.
  • In a bowl over med-low warmth over the stove melt your butter, then add flour and stir..slowly whisk in milk. Stir continuously for about 5-10 minutes until sauce thickens. Once sauce is a creamy texture add to your crock pot. Then stir in cheese and crumbled bacon.
  • Let cook another 20 minutes to melt all the cheese.
  • Soup makes 12- 1 cup portions
  • *Feel free to include in some celery, I prefer not to as I’m not a fan, if you do then maybe add a little additional broth. . Soup will freeze well, keep in the fridge for a couple of days.
